Our Mission

It's JustFundKY Time!

It is time for us to gather and get ready for this year's Just Fund KY event and, believe it or not, jump right into planning next year's event! That's because we are ramping things up a bit! And, we need you and your friends and the talents of many others to continue to promote LGBT fairness in Kentucky!!

Brandl Skirvin and Marsha Charles have agreed to co-Chair this year and next year's events and they have some exciting plans to discuss with you. Most importantly, they are eager to get your ideas and suggestions on how to make both the 2012 event and the 2013 event 'over the top'.

Please plan to join us at this initial meeting. If you are unable to attend but want to be included as part of the planning committee, please contact us. Finally, please bring others who you believe have the passion and commitment to join our committee-—there are MANY ways in which we can all contribute—the main thing is for folks to be willing, committed and resourceful.

"8" The Play

"8" The PlayThe issue of marriage equality is brought to life on stage by JustFundKY in partnership with Kentucky Conservatory Theatre. A staged reading of "8" The Play, a new documentary play by Dustin Lance Black about the legal battle over Proposition 8, the California ballot initiative on same-sex marriage. The play will be presented at the Kenttucky Theatre on Oct. 2nd by a cast of some of Lexington's finest actors, community leaders and celebrity guests. Based on trial transcripts and interviews with participants on both sides, the play vividly presents an issue that seems destined for decision by the U.S. Supreme Court. At its Los Angeles premier, the all star cast included: George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Martin Sheen, Jane Lynch, Rob Reiner, Jamie Lee Curtis and Matthew Morrison. Don't miss this compelling portrayal of one of the most contentious social issues of our time.
